NASB Romans Road Verses

Romans 3:10 – "As it is written; 'There is no righteous person, not even one.'"

Romans 3:23 – "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God."

Both of these verses illustrate a core aspect of Christian faith teachings: that everyone is a sinner and lost without Jesus. 

Sin is defined by James in James 4:17: "Therefore, to one who knows the right thing to do and does not do it, to him it is sin." 

Although we may not welcome the idea that we are sinners or in the wrong, it is nonetheless the truth. Thankfully, God's love for humanity shines through even amid our shortcomings. The next verse highlights this profound love. 

Romans 5:8 – "But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us."

This powerful verse conveys that God’s love for humanity remains unwavering, even as we grapple with our sins. It emphasizes that while we were STILL sinners, God expressed His love by sending Jesus. Regardless of our past, God loves each of us and has provided a great gift: JESUS.

Romans 6:23 – "For the wages of sin is death, but the gracious gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord."

There is a cost associated with sin that must be accounted for, and without payment, the penalty is eternal separation. 

However, the immense love described earlier has settled that debt, offering it as a gift. That gift is Jesus, who died on the cross to cover our sins, no matter their severity. 

This invaluable gift is yours for the taking, but you must choose to receive it. When you think of a gift, it’s important to remember that it is not something you pay for; someone else has paid for it on your behalf. Yet, the gift only becomes yours once you accept it.

God’s love has provided a gift just for you: the forgiveness of sin and a restored relationship with Him—fully realized through Jesus’s sacrifice on the cross.
